Kerby Lifelong Learners invites you to Adventures in Learning
Are you semi-retired, retired or still working? Are you interested in stretching your mind, learning from one another, thinking in new ways and exploring topics of interest? If you are this may be of interest. There are no pre-requisites, no exams, no teachers and sessions are open to anyone.
Please join us at an information session on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 1 PM at Kerby Centre to help us plan for the 2012 winter session.
You will learn about the following:Peer Led Learning Groups
These groups recognize the vast store of accumulated knowledge among older adults and the goal is to learn from each other. The sessions are led by participants.
Topics for the fall session will be discussed.
- Suggestions include Brain Fitness, Technology, Trends that Shape the Future.
- Please bring your ideas for other topics and social activities.
- The fee is $20 per session
“Stretch Your Mind” Speakers Series
The last session was so successful that we are planning evening presentations starting in February, by renowned speakers in the areas of global warming, science, sustainable resources, robotics in health, humanitarian work around the globe, global communities, ethics and other stimulating topics.
